Bayside condos San Diego by BOSA are located in what we could be described as the most desirable location in downtown San Diego, right on the waterfront district. The new public park will be just across the street and in the near future it will be surrounded by all the great additions that the North Embarcadero Visionary plan will bring to San Diego’s waterfront. Restaurant and entertainment options are available just a few blocks away on Little Italy District.
GENERAL AMENITIES | Rating: 9 out of 10
Bayside’s amenities are some of the best among luxury condos in San Diego. Complete with security and concierge services, gym, pool, sauna & steam, a reading area, a conference room, a wine tasting lounge, a movie theater and screening room, a community party room complete with flat panels, pool table and full kitchen and an outdoor BBQ area equipped with Viking grills. Bayside San Diego condos truly raised the bar in San Diego luxury high rise living.
The only amenity that is missing at Bayside that we think is a great addition on other luxury condo buildings of this category such as The Grande and The Pinnacle is the guest suite. It seems that at Bayside they decided to replace the guest suite with the wine tasting lounge which we are not certain it was the right move since the wine lounge seems to be empty most of the time while the guest suite on other buildings is booked quite often so its seems to be an amenity that resident’s appreciate more.
In conclusion Bayside’s amenities are some of the best among all downtown San Diego condos and at around $850 per month for a 2 bedroom condo the HOA fee seems to be a bargain compared to other buildings in this category that have higher fees and less amenities to offer.
COMMON AREAS | Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Living at Bayside San Diego truly does feel like resort style living. Common areas area expansive, well laid out, nicely finished and the maintenance is fantastic.
INTERIOR FINISHES + FLOOR PLANS | Rating: 10 out of 10
BOSA has truly built a high end product at Bayside San Diego. Condo interiors are finished with beautiful hardwood floors, Viking and Miele appliances and Snaidero Italian cabinets. There is no other building in San Diego that comes close to Bayside when it comes to comparing the quality of the condos and penthouses as delivered by the builder.
Floor plans at Bayside San Diego are some of the most spacious in downtown San Diego. They include a 1 bedroom plus den (very limited amount of residences with this floor plan), 2 bedroom and 2 bedroom plus den condos, town homes and penthouses ranging from 1,050 to 3,226 sq ft.
CONSTRUCTION | Rating: 10 out of 10
Bayside’s concrete and steel construction is rock solid. When you enter a Bayside residence you can feel the quality of the construction. As of January 2012 there are no litigation issues between Bayside’s HOA and the developer as a result of construction defects.
VIEWS | Rating: 9 out of 10
Bayside condos waterfront location facilitates the availability of unbelievable panoramic bay views to the west and city views to the south. There is a Holiday Inn hotel to the west of Bayside that is about 15 stories high and will partially obstruct the panoramic bay views of those units below the 15th floor.
Bayside has The Grande towers located to the south which will partially obstruct the views of South facing units. There is a future BOSA building planned East of Bayside which will have implications on Eastern views for condos at Bayside.
POOL | Rating: 8 out of 10
The pool at Bayside is aesthetically pleasing, finished with great outdoor furniture, next to the gym and the outdoor BBQ area. It’s a fantastic pool for relaxing and suntanning. However it is not really a lap sized pool and a bit small given the amount of units at Bayside.
GYM | Rating: 8.5 out of 10
The gym at Bayside is very well equipped complete with cardiovascular, weight and stretching equipment. There is a kitchen and juice bar. The cleanliness and maintenance of the gym is immaculate.
MAINTENANCE | Rating: 10 out of 10
The staff at Bayside makes it a top priority for common areas and amenities to be cleaned and well maintained. It is not uncommon if you use the steam room for the cleaning crew to be right behind you cleaning after you use the facilities. BBQ’s are scrubbed on a daily basis and the pool maintenance is excellent.

Overall Bayside condominiums by BOSA are among the best (top three) among all luxury condos in San Diego. Bayside is truly a luxury high rise condo building. It has all that you could be looking for when buying either a main residence or second home: location, amenities, a great value on the HOA fee (considering the amenities it has to offer), views and the best part is that prices per square foot do not differ that much from condos or apartments in buildings of lesser quality.
