The median price of a luxury condo in 2023 was $1,159,000 or $869 per square foot.
Transactions ranged from $560,000 for a 1 bedroom condo at The Legend to $4,650,000 for an 02 floor plan penthouse level condo at Pacific Gate by BOSA.
From a price per square foot perspective 2023 luxury condo sales ranged from 580 per sq ft for a 3 bedroom condo at Renaissance in the Marina District to $1,979 per square foot for an 03 floor plan penthouse at Pacific Gate that sold for $4,025,000. For the third year in a row Pacific Gate had the highest price per square foot for a condo sale in downtown San Diego.
WHAT’S THE MOST EXPENSIVE BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO?
Pacific Gate was the most expensive building in downtown San Diego in 2023 with an average selling price per square foot of $1,271 up from $1,246 in 2022 (also the most expensive building in downtown San Diego that year).
Savina followed in second place with an average selling price per square foot of $1,141 (up from $1,137 per sq ft in 2022).
The Pinnacle followed in third place with an average selling price of $1,022 per square foot. The Grande South came in 4th place with an $941 average selling price per square foot. Bayside completes the top five with an average selling price of $925 per sq ft.
