Pacific Gate is located in the Columbia District of downtown San Diego, a neighborhood known as “Millionare’s row” due to the concentration of luxury high rise condo towers. Located right across the street from a $1.3 billion redevelopment project called IQHQ Research and Development District, Pacific Gate offers a strategic location in the heart of downtown’s most sought after neighborhood.

Amenities (and services) at Pacific Gate are as good as they get and no other building in downtown San Diego can match the level of offerings at Pacific Gate. Pacific Gate offers the typical amenities found on most BOSA luxury buildings like 24hr security, front desk attendant, fitness center, sauna and steam room, business lounge and community lounge.
Pacific Gate takes it to the next level with the services offers including a chef concierge (for restaurant reservations, booking yacht, etc), porter service for help unloading groceries, luggage, etc.
Pacific Gate also offers a guest suite that residents can book for their guests, a yacht that belongs to the HOA and can be booked up to three times a year for just the cost of the fuel and a luxury car fleet (includes 4 high end cars) for residents to use. COMMON AREAS

The common areas at Pacific Gate are laid out and decorated incredibly nice. BOSA commissioned HBA (Hirsch Bedner Associates – view website) to create 5 star resort inspired interior spaces including the lobby, hallways, community lounge, outdoor pool deck and BBQ areas.
Pacific Gate also features a motor court entry that is ideal for picking up and dropping off passengers, groceries, luggage, etc.
INTERIOR FINISHES + FLOOR PLANS

Pacific Gate offers the best finishes in downtown San Diego with hard wood flooring, custom cabinetry, fixtures and appliances include Wolf and Sub Zero.
Pacific Gate only has 10 different floor plans to pick from. The curvature that the building’s design features in addition to the all glass construction makes some of these floor plans the most sought after in downtown San Diego as they offer lots of light, amazing views and quality of finishes that will satisfy the most discerning buyers. VIEWS

Pacific Gate offers some floor plans with protected views of the bay and others that will be impacted by future / ongoing construction in the Columbia District. So it is important to understand what is happening around this building to ensure your views don’t get blocked or impacted in the future.
NW at Pacific Gate over the 20th floor (height of Intercontinental hotel right across from the building) offer incredible bay views that are as protected as they get. Directly west of Pacific Gate the Fairmont hotel is currently scheduled to be built in the near future. This will impact all west facing units at Pacific Gate as the Fairmont hotel will be the same height as Pacific Gate.
SW units at Pacific Gate will be impacted by IQHQ Research and Development District, but most SW facing units will keep corridor views towards the bay.
Directly south of Pacific Gate, the lot used as an Office Depot will become another BOSA condo tower affecting south facing floor plans. This is in the medium to long term and might be closer to the year 2030, however things might change. Please inquire about construction before picking a unit!
POOL
Rating: 8 out of 10
The pool deck at Pacific Gate feels like a resort, laid out with cabanas and reclining chairs. The actual pool is a descent size but not large enough to swim laps. Overall it is a great pool deck, but certainly not the best in downtown San Diego.
FITNESS CENTER

The gym at Pacific Gate is adequate, with cardio equipment, free weights, strength training equipment and TRX. Next to the gym is the sauna, steam room + locker rooms.
MAINTENANCE

The staff at Pacific Gate ensure the building is kept in pristine condition at all times.
OVERALL RATING
Rating: 9 out of 10
Overall Pacific Gate is one of the the most sought after buildings in downtown San Diego. Lots of second or third home owners own in the building and use the residences on a part time basis. The building’s services and amenities are as close as it will get to those found in a 5 star resort making it an ideal building to own a vacation home if these type of service offerings are important to you.
