The most desirable units at Savina are generally the ones with the best combination of protected bay views, corner exposure, higher floors, larger floor plans, outdoor space, and rarity.

In my opinion, the strongest Savina units are:

1. NW Corner Residences

These are among the most desirable non-penthouse units in the building. The NW corner typically gets the best combination of bay, ocean, sunset, Waterfront Park, and city skyline views. This orientation is especially desirable because it offers some of the most compelling water-facing views in the building.

2. High-Floor 02 Stack

The 02 stack, especially on higher floors, is very desirable because it offers a strong west/northwest orientation, excellent water views, and a larger 2-bedroom layout. These residences are often some of the most sought-after floor plans at Savina due to their corner positioning, view corridors, and overall livability.

3. Penthouse Residences — Floors 35 and 36

Savina penthouses are the rarest units in the building. There are only eight penthouses, with four residences per floor on floors 35 and 36. The 01 penthouse floor plan is especially desirable because it is the only 3-bedroom plus den penthouse plan, with 3 baths, approximately 2,334 square feet, and NW-facing protected bay views.

4. True 3-Bedroom Residences

Any true 3-bedroom at Savina is desirable because most of the building is made up of 2-bedroom residences. Larger 3-bedroom layouts appeal to buyers who want newer construction, luxury amenities, and enough space to replace a single-family home or enjoy a more comfortable second-home lifestyle.

5. West-Facing Units Above the 15th Floor

West-facing units become especially desirable above approximately the 15th floor because they begin to clear the neighboring Wyndham hotel. As the elevation improves, these residences capture stronger bay, sunset, and waterfront views, making them a great option for buyers who prioritize water views but may not need a premium corner residence.

6. Southwest Units Above the 28th Floor

Southwest-facing units above roughly the 28th floor are also highly desirable because the neighboring Bayside building narrows toward the top. This creates improved view corridors from the upper levels, allowing these residences to capture better bay, city, and sunset views than comparable units on lower floors.

7. East-Facing Units Above the 30th Floor

East-facing units offer excellent city skyline views, and those above approximately the 30th floor clear most surrounding high-rise buildings. From these upper levels, the views become much more dramatic, extending across downtown San Diego and toward Balboa Park, which makes them especially appealing for buyers who prefer expansive urban views over direct bay views.

8. West-Facing Units with Bay Views

Even outside the very best corner stacks, west-facing units are highly desirable when they capture good bay, sunset, and city views. A strong west-facing 2-bedroom can still perform very well, especially if it has an efficient layout, balcony, and good floor height.

9. Oversized 1-Bedroom / 1.5-Bath Plans

For the 1-bedroom category, the most desirable are the larger 1-bedroom plans with a guest powder room. These feel more like a true residence than a compact condo and can appeal to buyers who want Savina but do not need two bedrooms.

Top tier: NW penthouses, especially the 01 penthouse plan.
Very strong: High-floor NW corner 02-stack residences.
Strong: Southwest units above the 28th floor, west-facing units above the 15th floor, and east-facing units above the 30th floor.
Best value/desirability balance: Larger 2-bedroom split floor plans with balcony and good views.
Best 1-bedroom option: Oversized 1-bedroom / 1.5-bath layouts.
