En 2024 hubo 573 ventas de departamentos en el centro de la ciudad, frente a las 524 ventas reportadas en 2023 y las 822 ventas reportadas en 2022. Al igual que en 2023, el bajo inventario y las altas tasas de interés fueron los principales factores que contribuyeron al nivel moderado de ventas cerradas en el mercado de departamentos del centro de San Diego en 2024.
Las transacciones oscilaron entre $230.000 por un estudio en el hotel Hard Rock Hotel y $4.975.000 por dos unidades combinadas en una en Meridian.
From a price per square foot perspective 2024 sales ranged from 461 per sq ft for a condo at Smart Corner building in East Village to $1,893 per square foot for an penthouse level condo at Pacific Gate that sold for $3,850,000 (residence 3903).
Por cuarto año consecutivo, Pacific Gate tuvo la venta con el precio por pie cuadrado más alto en todo el centro de San Diego, el precio promedio por pie cuadrado más alto en el edificio. Sin embargo, este año la venta general más alta fue para Meridian, ya que la unidad vendida fueron dos unidades combinadas con más de 3,000 pies cuadrados de espacio habitable.

El Bayside ocupa el tercer lugar con un precio medio de venta de $1.062 por pie cuadrado. El The Metropolitan ocupa el cuarto lugar con un precio medio de venta de $1.017 por pie cuadrado. El The Pinnacle completa los cinco primeros puestos con un precio medio de venta de $1.006 por pie cuadrado.
